When we consider travel abroad by ourselves, or with our families, we tend to focus on the positives: adventure, new experiences and building connections. As a coach, I am rather fond of concentrating on the positives yet I also love it when people remain financially robust throughout their travel adventure.
You’ve packed up and moved countries and now you can’t leave your house because of a pandemic! Does it feel pointless to devote a pandemic restricted January lockdown to goal setting?
I work with many people who are navigating life in a brand new city. Moving to a new country is always tricky. Finding a new job, home, career and set of friends is a challenge enough but experiencing lockdown in pandemic is a whole other story.
This month I had the joy of working in Athens on behalf of ICA ( International Coach Academy) where I attended Coathathon - an event organised by the regional ICF Chapter. I also worked alongside ICA’s wonderful coach trainer, Katerina Kanelidou, to deliver ICA’s FlipIt workshop.
Pleased to attend ICF’s Converge Conference - a global event designed to strengthen connections within the coaching community and share research. Lovely to meet with students, graduates and colleagues from ICA and catch up with the latest thinking.
Really good to speak with my dear friend and colleague, Clotilde Blanchet, about overcoming the fear of travel. Clotilde adores travel and there are not too many situations where she experiences fear.
