How to overcome the fear of travel

Really good to speak with my dear friend and colleague, Clotilde Blanchet, about overcoming the fear of travel. Clotilde adores travel and there are not too many situations where she experiences fear.

Financing a global life abroad

When we consider travel abroad by ourselves, or with our families, we tend to focus on the positives: adventure, new experiences and building connections. As a coach, I am rather fond of concentrating on the positives yet I also love it when people remain financially robust throughout their travel adventure.

It ain't what you do - it's the way that you do it.

I work with many people who are navigating life in a brand new city. Moving to a new country is always tricky. Finding a new job, home, career and set of friends is a challenge enough but experiencing lockdown in pandemic is a whole other story.

10 Meter Tower: making a scary decision

10 Meter Tower: making a scary decision

A fascinating film about making a decision. A great watch for any interested in human behaviour and decision making! Do you relate to any of these people?

From a coaching point of view, it poses some wonderful questions:

  1. What motivates a person to dive?

  2. What thought processes drive the decision?

  3. What does it give them to meet the challenge?

  4. For those who dive, what is the experience immediately following the jump?

  5. What are the range of thoughts in those people who chose not to jump?

Joyfully, coaching gives you the space to make a decisions that is right for you. It places you in the role of learner by giving you space to observe your thoughts and behaviours.
